Tips

Top Tips for looking after your Candle.

  1. Lighting for the first time.
When lighting for the first time, always allow to burn for two hours. This will allow wax to pool evenly for the duration of its burn time. (Take note too, that ideally, candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time).
  2. Allow to Pool.
Let the top layer of wax liquefy and pool to the edges to avoid tunnelling.
  3. Trim.
Always give the wick a little trim (about half a centimetre) before relighting. This ensures less soot is formed when the candle is burning and that the oils are kept beautiful.
  4. Guests.
Light candles one hour prior to the arrival of guests for that maximum punch of fragrance. Extinguish the flame and even hide the candle just before they arrive so the home appears beautifully, naturally fragrant.
  5. Know when to say goodbye.
We never like to see the end of our favourite fragrance, but once your candle wax is 1cm from the bottom; it’s officially finished.
Time to choose another favourite to burn.

Use a Candle tray to protect your surfaces.

Don’t drop matches into the wax.
